Are you interested in subbing at our school this year? We’d love to have you join our team! Come to an informational session on Wednesday, August 13 at 10:00 AM. We’ll walk through how to use Red Rover, our new system for subbing. It’s super easy and flexible. If you only want to sub in certain areas, that’s totally okay with us. We welcome anyone who wants to help out. Current subs are encouraged to come as well. We’re excited to get the year started and hope to see you there!

Next week, July 28th through August 1st, is the annual Sports Physical Week. $15 of each physical is donated back to Kimball School if they are completed this week at Kimball or Chamberlain Sanford Clinics. Any student planning on participating in any sport during the 2025-26 school year, will need to have a physical before they can compete. Appointments can be made by calling (605) 778-6296. Congratulations to Head Track and Field Coach Stephanie McCord! She was named the Class B track and field coach of the year in Area 3 by the South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association.
Mrs. Walsh and Elizabeth Von Eye are spending the week in our nation's capitol attending the FFA's Washington Leadership Conference (WLC). Thursday is our Capitol day but due to being a Federal Holiday we were able to squeeze in a quick visit with our SD friends to Senator Rounds today.

Message from Asst. VB Coach Darby Deffenbaugh: Summer Schedule - the tentative plan is to have pre-season lifting Monday evenings in Kimball and Thursday mornings in White Lake followed by open gym. Lifting starting at 5:00 PM Monday evenings grades 8-12 ONLY. Following lifting will be open gym for grades 6-12. 5:45 PM- 6:45 PM. Lifting starting at 8:30 AM Thursday mornings grades 8-12 ONLY. Following lifting will be open gym for grades 6-12. 9:15 AM- 10:15 AM. Some of the Thursday open-gym times will be used for small-group specialization sessions. I will send out a detailed calendar soon with that information. We will be utilizing both gyms. Mondays in Kimball. Thursdays in White Lake. Location may vary depending on gym availability, custodial duties, etc. I will send updates via Remind. Please download the app and allow notifications for best usage. The Hanson Invite track meet in Alexandria has been canceled for tomorrow. Region golf for tomorrow in Mitchell has been postponed until Wednesday, May 21st, in Mitchell.
On Monday, May 19, athletes from the winter sports and spring sports will be recognized. The program will start at 7:00 pm in White Lake.
Congratulations to these singers who auditioned and were chosen to sing in the SD Elementary Honor Choir! They will perform at the Sioux Falls Convention Center on November 1, 2025. Those selected are Emma Lenz, Maya DeJong, Addyson Dorwart, Tyson Von Eye, Vonni Tyrrell, Allie Krier, and Paisley Kirsch.
The 1st Annual Kimball Water Festival was held on April 29. Over 100 students in grades 4 & 5 from 4 schools participated in a large variety of water education activities. A huge thank you to SD Association of Rural Water Systems for reaching out to Kimball School to host this educational event and to our volunteers that made the day a great success!
